Community Engagement
At Centurion University, we believe that active community involvement is essential to addressing health challenges and ensuring that healthcare interventions meet the unique needs of local populations. We organize community health programs and work in underserved regions to provide critical healthcare services, including nutritional support in our adopted villages. The University has organized free health check-up and vision screening camps in 2023 to benefit more than 12000 people in and around Odisha.
Academic Initiatives
Centurion University offers clinical and diagnostic services through its Community Diagnostic Center (Reg. No. 38/2019/Khordha), providing low-cost or free healthcare to community members. Our students gain hands-on experience while serving the community. We also conduct workshops and seminars on disease prevention, vaccination, and healthy lifestyle choices. Training programs in sustainable agriculture further complement our health initiatives, empowering communities with holistic health knowledge.
Research for Health Solutions
Our research focuses on health issues impacting our surrounding areas, contributing to a deeper understanding of local health challenges. Through collaborative research, we address specific health concerns and develop practical, implementable solutions.
Entrepreneurship
Centurion University encourages healthcare innovation by supporting students and faculty in entrepreneurial ventures that address health challenges. Our School of Paramedics and Allied Health Sciences (SoPAHS) works to establish diagnostic facilities in rural communities, fostering healthcare accessibility and innovation. It also upscales the skills of the students to engage themselves better with the community and serve people.
Social Impact
Through outreach initiatives and health awareness campaigns, Centurion University empowers individuals to make informed health decisions. We regularly organize health camps, contributing to improved health outcomes and advancing the mission of SDG 3.
