About The Programme
This is a skill-oriented course to provide hands-on practice and project work in the study of various diagnostic techniques, which includes routine investigation, the operation of medical laboratory equipment and its installation, calibration, and quality control.

Practice- Operate Instruments (Centrifuge, Colorimeter, Microscope, Microtome, Laminar Airflow, Hemocytometer, Hemometer, Autoclave, Hot Air Oven) |

Theory: Stool Analysis (3 hrs) |
Practice- Practice different types of methods used in the examination of Stool (RE & ME). |

Practice- Practice different types of method used in the examination of Sputum and special reference to AFB |

Theory: Biomedical waste management & Lab Safety (3hrs) |
Practice: To gain an understanding of the importance of proper and safe disposal of bio-medical waste & treatment, To gain an understanding of categories of bio-medical waste, To learn about the disposal of bio-medical waste – colour coding, types of containers, transportation of waste, etc. |
- Can join as an Assistant Lab Technician in any hospitals, nursing homes, private/government laboratories and research centers.
- Can work as an Assistant Lab Technician in any Pharma industries, Life Science laboratories.
- Can participate in RNTPC, Malaria eradication program, DOTS center.
